Filipino favorite bread re-invented!

Pandesal was introduced to the Philippines in the sixteenth century during the Spanish colonisation.

Pan de sal literally means “bread of salt" (contrary to the sweet taste of our pandesal).  It was also called “the bread of the poor” during the early revolution because it became an alternative to rice.  Over the years, pandesal has evolved to become THE favorite Filipino bread that has a universal appeal across all classes and cultures within the borders of the Philippines.

Filipinos enjoy pandesal in different ways, the most popular of which is dipping it into coffee (or hot chocolate).  Some would have it with peanut butter, coco, nutella, or even sardines.

What sets Mang Pandesal apart?  Taste.  You will definitely come back for more after munching on these without the need for any spread or jam!
